Time

Folks should arrive at the park by 3:30pm, though you may get there early if you wish to peruse the park.

Vibe

The general feel of this wedding will be more of a gathering with friends and hanging out/mingling kind of thing. It won't be an ornate party dance atmosphere. There will be music, and dancing can happen in the cabin, but it's not the main focus. We personally don't enjoy dancing, to the point where we won't even be doing a "first dance", no matter how many times people tell us it MUST BE DONE. :)

Oh, and please don't do the clink your glass to make us kiss thing, because Andrea will get cranky. :)

Dress Code

As long as it's snazzier than jeans and tshirts? It's not like we'd turn anyone away for not being spiffy enough. It's not a super formal event. WE will be dressed up real pretty though.

Food

Food will be a cocktail party style. There will be appetizers and such, and then there will be "stations" of a few different types where you can obtain yummy dinner treats. This will not be a formal "choose beef or chicken and sit down until it's served to you" kind of deal.

We have asked that the caterers put some sort of signage up about vegetarian and/or gluten free status of foods, as we know we will have guests that need to know that kind of thing. We're hoping there will be enough choices to accommodate everyone's tastes and needs. In addition to cake there will be an ice cream sundae bar!

Drop us a line if you need to specify any food issue. Particularly if you are gluten free and want a cake alternative, as we'll need a count for getting some suplemental cupcakes.

Bar

There will be an open bar with beer, wine, and liquor.

Photography

There will be a professional photographer on the job. I also know several of you will have cameras in tow and will be enthusiastically taking part in documenting things, which is lovely because it kills me that I can't be hiding behind my own camera (I bet I'll whip it out a few times though). We just ask that you try to give the pro ample opportunity to get the shots she's trying to get without interference.

Pre-and-post-wedding activities

As there will be many friends in from out of town, the question comes up about whether there is any gathering before or after. Right now we're playing it by ear. We don't have any rehearsal dinner or anything planned. There probably will be some sort of brunchy situation on Sunday with out of town friends. And while there are no formal plans for Friday shenanigans, even if we are swamped there will likely be other friends you know in town with whom you can shenanigate.

We will be flying out for our Honeymoon on Monday. WOO HAWAII!

Helpers

If you feel super desperate to help out with anything, drop us a line! Jim would gladly put you to work helping decorate before the cermony. :)
